Why I Created Tom Syed Hair Spa

After more than 15 years in the hair industry, I’ve worked in many different salon environments.

Some were fantastic. Others taught me exactly what I didn’t want to create.

I loved the creativity of hairdressing, but I often felt there had to be a better way to work. A place where talented professionals could enjoy the benefits of freelance life without feeling isolated, unsupported, or pressured by unrealistic expectations.

When I created Tom Syed Hair Spa, I didn’t want a traditional salon with hierarchy, politics, and targets.

Instead, I wanted to create a space where experienced professionals could focus on what they do best: looking after clients and growing successful businesses.
